Everyone has their ideal partner, and often its a grocery list of qualities that no-one could completely live up to... Luckily I have a God who is faithful to me and he knows my heart.
Here are some things that are important to me beyond physical appearance.
Deal breakers : these are the qualities I believe I cant live without.
Put. God. First.
I want God to be the first place we turn no matter what, even if we're dry and not hearing anything let us approach our heavenly Father together in all things.
Let him have the fruits of the spirit visibly growing and produces from within him. If they are evidnt then everything else will come naturally... If he is struggling with a few of them (no-one is perfect) let him be willing to grow.
Let him be a good leader, who asks the important questions.
Let him be approachable, with kind understanding eyes and heart.
Let him have a sense of humor.
Let him be playful.
Additional Qualities I look for.
Generally cheerful, positive outlook on life.
Enjoys physical attention like handholding and snuggling without sexual intention.
Playful and adventurous, willing to step out of our comfort zones.
Enjoys the company of children.
Frugality, good with accounting and saving.
Gracious and forgiving but not naieve and foolish. Not easily tread upon.
Occasionally spontaneous.
Creative.
Supportive of my endeavors as I intend to be supportive of his.
Friendly to strangers.
Fun to talk to, encouraging even.
Wise, with a good memory, and smart enough to let me know when I'm taking things too far.
